Four-month bump. How's that Eagle been treating you?

So far so good! It’s been about a month or so since I last shot it. I get an occasional FTE/FTF which I can live with since it’s a range toy.

Lol. No it’s just action shooting season so I’m shooting a lot more matches. A DE is slightly different than my CZ SP-01 Shadow

A mag dump costs me like $1.80 lol. I stacked powder, primers and bullets deep long before Rona

I did!

.50 was really flippy in mine, but .44 was tame.

I found the Desert Eagle in .50 to be more unpleasant to shoot than my .500 S&W. In .44 magnum, the Desert Eagle was very pleasant to shoot even with full power jacketed loads.

I’d say it’s just slightly milder than shooting my 10 inch Dan Wesson 44 mag revolver.
I will say I have some rounds loaded up with Vihtavouri N110 powder and holy crap is that soft shooting. I can rip shots off fast with those loads. Not so much with my H110 loads

I found @Rocco Mozz ’s DE 50 to be approaching slightly unpleasant to shoot. But we were shooting some VERY warm ammo.

Never shot a .50 but I find the .44 pleasant for what it is as well. The weight really soaks up the recoil.

I can confirm that my wiener has shrunken in size, at least a few inches, since I haven't shot my Deagle in a few months! Once I shoot my DE this month it should be back to full strength.

There is no denying that the Desert Eagle is a large handgun but for those who love the .44 magnum, you won't find a softer shooting one.

The only dumb caliber is .40, that is a fact.

It was always a dumb gun. (Although fun to shoot, when someone else owns it, lol) .44 magnum on the other hand, not so much. Useful for real pin shoots and all kimds of intermediate hunting.
