Wondering if anybody had any experience with Sam's Arms Repair in Concord Ma
I've seen a few listings on Gunbroker, but wanted to know before I ventured into any transactions
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated
TIA

I’ve seen their ads on GUNBROKER as well as thei home site SAMSARMSREPAIR. Can they legally produce new receivers that are used to covert pats kit guns (SMG’s) to semi-Auto? Is this legal? TIA

They are producing tube receivers for Sten guns, etc. These are closed bolt SA conversions of open bolt FA - perfectly legal (federally...in MA it depends on the build). Personally, I recommend doing a vertical mag fed home build if you are going to do a Sten build of any sort. Indianapolis Ordnance was doing great build kits for those at a reasonable price, and cutting a Sten tube with a pattern is quite straightforward.

Thank you for your response. I’ve seen parts kits guns on gun auction sites, I didn’t think it was legal to sell parts kits with parts like working bolts, open barrels, etc. My relatives faught in marines and army at the ‘Bulge’ and Normandy beach. Faced terrible odds but survived even with battle wounds. The Germans used to 9mm MP38/MP40’s in up-close fighting and I always hoped to find a legal semi-auto version of one. Are there any other companies currently performing semi-auto conversions, and do they provide kits/parts, or just assemble customer kits/parts with new semi-auto receivers/parts. I want to stay legal, but would love to be able to have a part of their history. TIA
