Dual Survival; Cody Lundin Fired ?

I liked Dave Canterbury better than Cody and do agree bare feet and shorts in cold conditions is idiotic. They did complimented each other. After Dave left and the other guy came in, I stopped watching. I do have one of Cody's books, "When All Hell Breaks Loose". Entertaining and informational. Wonder what "safety and health concerns" caused him to leave?

I liked Cody. He brought a voice of caution to surviving that is usually overlooked.

That said survivorman is where I spend my viewing time.

+1

While I did enjoy Dual Survival, I like Survivorman better. Cody was a wealth of information and often the voice of reason. That being said, Les is on his own and doesn't have anyone to SHARE the work with.

Me too. When Dave left, I stopped watching. They were good together. Like Man Tracker...

Though cody does seem to be a skilled survivalist, he seems kind of creepy sometimes.. That being said, survivorman is where its at!

Survivorman is my favorite.... the dude is actually surviving by himself, with god knows how much gear, doing stuff multiple times to get a shot.

Cody lives the survival lifestyle and is far more knowledgable than survivor man will ever be. Survivorman is one of my favorite shows. Watch Naked Castway with Ed Stafford he does 60 days with only camera equipment and naked. Survivormam does what a week?

while i agree that going into any situation barefoot with shorts is not a smart idea...Cody is not your average person entering into a situation under those circumstances....as he describes in the show, he's spent the past 20+ years wearing shorts and going barefoot all the time, and he is correct that his body is uniquely acclimated to the elements, and his feet/legs are clearly hardened, as well as being changed on a cellular level...it is in no way the same as a regular joe, even a survival expert going into the wilderness without shoes/pants...

again, I'm not saying its a smart idea, but you can't deny that he has prepared himself for it

Im not in to watching naked men run around naked for 60 days.

Other then Cody, has these other "Naked" folks ever survived in Northern Ontario, Alaska in the winter time or any other place that is covered in snow and freezing cold while being naked? Or are they just in the tropics?

There something about running outside in the woods with a naked chick, and your junk hanging out while trying to survive. That turns me on.

Well Naked and Afraid is coming back on Discovery. After like three days of dirt and grime the naked chick never looks good and the naked guy reminds me of the Seinfeld episode.

It's too bad filming Survivorman just about kills Les Stroud because it's definitely a show I enjoy watching.

Les has the best show IMO......followed by dual survival.....grills is a show I cannot tolerate.
