Duck Hunting in Hingham

I am considering going duck hunting in Hingham. Judging by the echo of shotgun blasts I hear every morning a few guys are doing well duck hunting in Hingham. I can see the boat from my kitchen window. I may load up the kayak with decoys and paddle out this weekend. Anyone ever hunt in Hingham Bay before?

I believe there is a "no discharge" law in Hingham so be sure you set up below the high water mark to be legal. Also for dekes I would bring 2 black ducks 6 to 8 mallards and as many divers as you can bring, some canadas would also be a good idea. Good luck.

I have been watching the waterfowl with a telescope. The majority of waterfowl are C.Geese, Brant showing up in numbers this week, Black Ducks, Mallards and an assortment of small divers. I have not seen any Eiders in the harbor.

Thats why I said to be below the high water mark, the right to fin and fowl is still on the books.

I believe people duck hunt over in Bare Cove from time to time. Gives the dog walkers something to talk about.
