Hi Folks-
Does anyone know if a first time DWI in NH (which is a misdemeanor ) will cause a application for a Maine non resident LTC to be denied? It is my understanding that under NH law a first time DWI conviction can be appealed after one year to have the conviction converted to a violation.
Does a first time misdemeanor DWI conviction meet the Maine crteria for a refusal for a Non Resident application?
So should I advise my friend to wait out the year or does a DWI conviction in and of itself constitute a refusal. We all do not want a record of refusal or denials with regard to LTC applcations, now do we?
thanks
Marlin
