All seasons = glock 26. What I'm wearing and the weather only changes how big of a magazine is in it. ( 10, 15, ,17, or 23 )

Shield 9, spare mag and ka-bar tdi sheath iwb with Lcp in back pocket year round.

I carry appendix. That position makes most sense to me performance and concealment wise. I can unholster and reholster single handed while standing, sitting, driving, laying on my back, etc.

My 1911 isn't the most comfortable carrying appendix style or else id carry that.

Sig 2022 all the time. I consider it my most reliable gun. iWB is not my thing. I think the untucking and all that slows you down a bit. Even in the summer, I'll wear a light jacket (or leather. I ride all summer). I don't do subcompact. It's just not for me.

What do you carry? Do you change from winter to summer?

G30sf this time of year. I alternate with a Walther P99c AS 9mm during the warmer months. The P99 is marginally easier to conceal but I just feel better carrying the Glock.

s&w shield 9mm when i carry. I used to alternate between my g19 but now i use it as a range gun and night stand gun.

IWB a glock 19 and pocket carry an lcr as a backup when I can wear a jacket, which is a lot with a motorcycle. I sometimes carry a glock 26 IWB in the summer, and open carry is always a glock 20.

Which holster do you use?

Most of the time, a compact. In warmer weather sometimes I carry a full size.

A Shield 9mm in the summer and a full sized M&P 9mm in the winter. Both in N82 holsters and a thick belt by the Beltman. I do vary sometimes a carry something else, but only occasionally. If I'm just running down to &-11 I may just slip the LCP in my pocket. If hiking I may carry OWB for comfort. In just a pair of shorts I'll use the Smartcarry holster.

S&W .40C, IWB N82 holster. I don't change for the season or situation other than working out. If I'm out running or mountain biking, I tend to use a belly band, but I hate it and I'm looking into alternatives in that situation.

Work all year, dress pants/shirt with a blazer that I sometimes take off - G42 in my pocket.

Previous Job, a Cambridge startup, untucked shirt - Glock 19 or G26 depending on if I was riding my bike.

Casual in MA
Summer - G26 or Kahr P9 IWB under a T shirt

Winter - G19 under a Tshirt if I'm going to keep my coat on.


Casual in CT (where OC is perfectly fine, both practically and legally)

G17 in an OWB retention holster with a T shirt over it.

If I'm doing a family event with my anti-gun sister and don't feel like conflict
G26 in an OWB holster that I've customized to ride between the belt and the pants. Its very concealed. Its as comfortable as any other OWB but the belt pulls it in tighter.


For dress belts, I'd recommend against the hanks belt. Its a nice belt for someone on a strict budget. But its FAR FAR inferior to the Beltman belt for only about $20 more. The beltman can also be had in 1.25" width which looks much better with business clothes.

For untucked carry, I use the old stand by Wilderness Systems instructor belt.

IWBs are all Supertucks except for a desantis single slip I use for the Kahr.
OWB retention is a safariland ALS.

G19 year round. Sometimes an LC9. IWB with a N82 pro.
