This class is for trained police firearms instructors who are, or will be, transitioning their organizations to pistol-mounted optics.
As PMOs become increasing common, agencies and instructors need a foundation of experience and knowledge in order make competent fielding, integration, and training decisions.
This class, which is for agency instructors who have already completed an instructor course, covers:
Sighting, Zeroing, and imperfect sight pictures;
Getting the optic into the eye – target line sooner;
What changes from traditional methods;
Feedback from the dot;
Myths about PMOs;
Equipment selection, mounting, training, and policy considerations;
Existing research and policies from other agencies and the academic world;
Connecticut POST certified this class in March, 2021.
The instructor is a retired L/E supervisor who carried PMOs on-duty.
In addition to the $400 course fee, there is a $25 daily range fee, payable to the range.
