I know this is a shooters forum, but I figure someone here may be able to point me in the right direction before I start dialing local and state PDs, etc.
I'm wondering if it's lawful to carry an expandable baton either open and/or concealed in Maine. I've Googled to my wit's end, but really only find info about guns and knives. I'm beginning to think it's one of those things that may not be specifically prohibited (or allowed), but included in some "subject-to-interpretation" language that lawyers seem to love.
Thanks in advance for any replies. I have a fairly specific reason for wanting to carry an ASP or Monadnock style baton. I only mention this because this being a gun forum I wouldn't be surprised if some suggest a different tool for the job.
