After being tempted by a $410 used Anschutz Mark2000 I have decided that the bolt action 22lr I am going to pick up as a target/plinker is either the CZ 455 Trainer or the CZ 455 Ultra Lux.

Does anybody have experience with these rifles and have any opinions to offer? TO me they feel very similar with the trainer having a more slender forend plus the rear sights are very different.

Any help would be appreciated as I am going to purchase it this weekend while in NH. Thanks.

I love the trainer. I have a CZ452 Trainer and American. And a CZ455, but I don't recall the model.

The Trainer 452 sights are awesome for a $400 rifle. They are super accurate. They shoot the eyes out of the target. I have a nice Leupold sight on the American and it is my favorite plinking rifle.

The 455 I bought in .22 Mag and also bought the .22LR conversion kit.

Great choice for sure. FYI I picked up my 455 at Al's in Derry. He started carrying them a while back.
