Now EFA-10 on-line only?
Thanks
There's not any FA-10 anymore. Paper has been gone for at least a decade; electronic was dropped as a requirement a few months ago.Now EFA-10 on-line only?

So, never sold any guns. Got my 03 and after going over it many times I am going to pare down my 99's and I am going over everything to be sure I know what I am doing. I have set up my account on GB. My Son passed in 2012, Wife and Daughter want nothing to do with them. I'll keep a couple shooters. There's not any FA-10 anymore. I am in no particular hurry and am willing to make sure It's all good. It's C&R rifles 1940's through 1959.No offense, man, but if you're asking about a paper FA10 in 2024, you don't know what you're doing.
If you sell out of state, I'd recommend you just go through an FFL no matter what the item is. Let them worry about the legalities. Just roll the added cost into the sale, state it clearly on the ad that the buyer will pay that, and you're all set.

Thank you for that. I still need to record the transaction on the States transaction portal as I understand it. Keep my book up to date and such.Well, if they're C&R, just get a copy of the out-of-state buyer's 03 license (with their signature on it) and ship to their doorstep.
But it's easiest just to let an ffl handle it. Or? Sell it all here in the classifieds (which is what I'd do) and, in this temporary golden age of legal confusion? Just make sure they have an LTC and swap gun for money with a clear conscience. You can do an EFA10 if it'll make you feel safer, though it seems you don't have to right now.
I've been the buyer for a number of sellers' first FTF sales; they've been unsure how to do the EFA10, so I've talked them through it. Make sure your first in-state FTF sale is to an experienced buyer, and they'll square you away. Most people doing deals here on NES are first-class individuals, and they're not out to screw anybody over.
Thanks, honestly though, I have flat out given up using the search function here. No disrespect meant, it could be just me but it just doesn't work for me.Yet, we have this recent post.
Post in thread 'How to record sales to out of state dealer/auction house on FA10?' How to record sales to out of state dealer/auction house on FA10?
I have a blank Blue Card we can try.Now EFA-10 on-line only?
Thanks
Thanks in advance or you are having a mini-stroke.....I have a blank Blue Card we can try.
An expired LTC shouldn’t be an issue.
Across state lines should be acceptable wouldn’t you think?
Will you mail it to me after my 72 waiting period is over?
TIA.
My comment was referring to everyone saying they have been gone forever in their responses. I recalled my shock at the post, so it was easy for me to find. Thanks, honestly though, I have flat out given up using the search function here. Well.....we are a bit past that now Rip Van Winkle......The Telegraph Operator can send the info over long distances, as long as the Natives didn't destroy the lines.
When I tell you this decision has pained me I am understating it.So, never sold any guns. Im sure it does.......these are guns that will likely never be made again......so I am always careful with selling stuff like that. When I tell you this decision has pained me I am understating it.
That being said I just listed the first one I am letting go. 1952 EG in the .300 Savage in 100% original condition.
In the classified section here on NES.
The guns were for my Son but he passed in 2012. My Daughter is single and could care less about them. My Brother is widowed and by himself and has his own collection he has to deal with. Couple Nephews who don't hunt/fish and have no interest. I have accepted that it is time to send them down the road.Im sure it does.......these are guns that will likely never be made again......so I am always careful with selling stuff like that.
However.....when you get older if there is no person to sell/give them to....your risk is them getting all sold to some dealer by your wife, or even worse the cops taking them in some type of medical issue....especially in MA.
I am going thru that with some fine old guns I have at my dad's right now....what to keep...what to sell. My son needs to get off his ass and get his CT license realistically....so some of this goes away and i can just give some of them to him. But if he doesn't....next trip up, i may just drive them all down here. I can't risk them up in MA anymore and my dad being old. My only other outlet is a buddies up there.
Yup.....if there is no destination for them.....then take the value of them back and use it for something that makes sense for your life now. Or risk stroking out and your wife selling them at a loss. The guns were for my Son but he passed in 2012. My Daughter is single and could care less about them.
