Favorite semi auto rifle

I just received another Service Grade M1 Garand today and this one is a Beauty, a 4.7m H&R. Pics at a later date.

Thanks guy's, I already have a 10/22 and an SKS. So I think the Ar will be next. Then an M1.

Since you already have the 10/22, I'd have to agree with your next two purchases but I'd reverse the order. They're still making new AR-15s - there's a finite supply of Garands. (I'd have to say that the three rifles of mine that get the most trigger time are definitely the Garand, the AR-15 and the 10/22. In fact I just had the AR out at the 100 & 200 yard ranges at my club this weekend qualifying so I could use the 200/300 yard ranges.)

Three great rifles for different purposes. Please don't ever make me choose between them because I don't think I could.

M&P 15-22 if you want a .22LR

AR 15 - can't really go wrong with one. i agree with going with a "traditional" set up. A2 style / service rifle all the way. [cheers]

I would think hard about the order of those..... If you want a nice Garand, especially one of the WW2 vintage I would ( and have ) purchased sooner than later. Take a look at what happen to M1 Carbine prices when CMP ran out and everyone realized there are no more to be had. If you worried about a potential ban on AR type stuff, buy a lower, put it in your safe, and then go get a nice Garand.

just my .02

If you don't yet meet the criteria of the CMP to purchase one, attending an Appleseed Shoot counts as "participation in a marksmanship related activity" and membership in the RWVA (or GOAL, for that matter) counts as "Membership in CMP Affiliated Organization".

When rack grade M1's start at $522.95 delivered to your door, it's really a no-brainer.
