I'm looking for suggestions on a first gun. Looking for a gun that I can carry concealed and use for targets. Would a sig P320 be good for a beginner?

Walther P22 is nice if you're ok with carrying a .22 for self defense
perhaps.. i think a p229 9mm would be a better choice.would a sig P320 be good for a beginner?
Try (shoot) a number of pistols before you make your choice.

Some guns are good for carry and target... but just like anything else specialized tool for specialized tasks.
Youll end up with more than one gun.. the classic p series (220 226 229) will never be a purchase you regret.

No love here for the Ruger LC9s? Absolutely great gun. Very similar in size and features to the Shield. And no one makes a trigger kit for it because there's no point. The LC9s has a great trigger right from the factory.
{The "s" stands for striker fired, as opposed to the hammer fired one.
I'll agree that a P-series is a good investment. I just started carrying concealed this week, the 229's weights isn't bad at all with a nice holster. You might want to either visit a range and rent a bunch of guns or borrow your friends to shoot. Once you find one you like, invest in a good holster and play around with its location until its comfy and concealed. Also not to derail anything are there any 229 carries here that have pointers on how to keep the grip from printing heavily?
Thank you everyone, going to try and shoot a few before I get a gun. Wish it didn't take so long to get my ltc.
