FNH announces civilian SCAR available next year.

Expensive:

From a thread on ar15.com with multiple confirmations: "SCAR 16S is $2,696.56"

Geezus H. Nice rifle, but frankly it isn't worth that much.

I can get TWO preban ARs in MA for that kinda money (even with the "Obama Run" going on) and still have a bit of cash left over to accessorize.

Yes. It seems quite ridiculous to me. Also, what's it going to do that a Sig 556 or gas piston AR won't?

Interesting rifle and I'm sure there will be a very small cult following since it'll be totally illegal for civilian use in a few months.

I like my boring AR's.

With an MSRP of $2,696, you'd probably end up paying between $1800-$2200 for the rifle all depending on where you shop. For that money, no thank you.

There's still no official release date on the BM ACR (Masada) but when it's released it'll be cheaper than the SCAR and there will be a ban version made available to those of us in ban states.

The only thing that bites about the SCAR in 7.62X51 is the proprietary mags... the SCAR-H could very well be the next SG550.

i cant even imagine why people would want that rifle in 5.56 NATO.

zzzZZZzzzz. boring....
