Hi Folks:

Just a brief note on the upcoming Fosters' Match. We are conducting another collection for service people over in Iraq.

The Great Pumpkin collection was a big success - we collected enough books, cd's, beef jerky, music, etc. and cash to send two care packages!!!

Someone pointed me in a great direction to send this care package. These guys are serving in the Sniper section of the 3rd ID, 3rd Bde, HHC 2-69 Armor.

These guys really need our consideration.

In addition to the usual items such as non-perishable food items, dry drink mix, chap-stick, books, magazines, note paper, pens, hard candy, gum, international calling cards, sunscreen, etc., there are some special needs items such as:

kestrels
graphite
molle pouches
bore cleaner
one piece cleaning rods for 7.62 and 5.56
sinclair chamber tools
lug recess tools for m4
m24 bore guides for both jags for cleaning rods

In the event that it is difficult to get to the store, cash can be used to find some of these items to send these guys.

If 30 people come to the match and each brings something small or makes a cash donation of a few bucks, it quickly accumulates into a nice care package.

Hope to see you at the Fosters' Match on May 1, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. for registration.
