GOAL is planning a Rolling Rally for Sunday August 28th - Volunteers needed

I took a spin on this and came up with a couple other poster/sign ideas:

I didnt like your other ones but I like this. Can you make the red font (lower text) outlined in white?

Also, there's this approach:

Let me see what I can do. My graphics software (GIMP) doesn't seem to have many text/font tools but I'll do some digging.

Maura Healey Bypassed
The Legislature
To Make Me a Criminal

And They Can Do Nothing
About It !

I also want to see the Legislature on the hot seat for this.

The way I equated this to a Libtard last night was...

Race cars can drive over 200 miles per hour and are illegal to use on the road in MA.
Suppose Maura Healey suddenly said that

"As of today by royal decree...

All cars, including your Prius, are now illegal to own, sell or pass on to your kids because
1) They have a similar operating system... i.e., Engine
2) They theoretically can change out all the parts and be turned into a race car
3) If you have a race car you can't remove the performance parts to make it legal for road use."

They got it.

Healey: "We have laws on the books against sodomy!

As of today they are going to be enforced.

All gays are now criminals and have to register with the state.

Oh wait, crap ...."

This is the way I go (a conservative ag banning gay marrige and saying its always been illegal) in the conversations with people who don't get it. That, or saying a conservative AG calls all abortion murder.
I'd a liberal can make the connection between one if their pet causes and yours it makes them rethink previous bias a little

Anyone making up a flyer for the rally this time. If we could have a easy to print out one that people could leave at the front door of gun shops and gun ranges it might help improve the attendance somewhat

Maybe we should just drive in circles around the Statehouse and 1 Ashburton. With enough cars we may achieve an unbroken column of 2A dominating the streets of Beacon Hill for a few hours.

Like an automotive picket line

This was one of the things I was getting at. This, or just fill the statehouse with bodies, clogging the halls. We need to rent a hall near multiple stairwells, and have a PA system too.

Right.

I like the symbolism of driving through the historically significant towns of the Revolutionary War, taking Route "2A" for the double meaning, and we'll pass by people in their cars driving fast and maybe the occasional pedestrian out in the hot sun who probably won't stop to look because either they're driving too fast or walking too slow.

BUT...

I think there can be a greater impact if we super-saturate an area that has a ton of both slow moving vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The people in this area will pay attention, take notice, and read our signage because of these conditions.

Beacon Hill.

Our current battleground isn't in the suburbs. It's where the law makers/oath breakers are screwing us over in Boston.

We'll get the same media publicity as a Route 2A drive. Granted it's not as scenic for us, but more of the public will be exposed to our message. Also, since we're moving with traffic, the amount of us, and the small, easy route, we don't have to secure a police escort.

I'm up for anything, but the 2A route could be a squib load compared to the magnum slug of a Beacon Hill "picket line".

What will clogging up streets do except piss people off. That doesn't help in winning the Court of Public Opinion. We need positive media coverage.

Not... "Live at Five: Rolling Rally of Gun Nuts Ties up Traffic for Hours. Family Vacation Plans Ruined. Hookers Lose Wages As They Can't Get to the Statehouse."

We're out for a weekend drive on Beacon Hill, which is always loaded with traffic anyhow, not parking in the middle of the Expressway like BLM/FSA clowns. But we can play the slippery slope game if you want.

Since the last GOAL rally shut down a lane of traffic on Beacon Street to accommodate the crowd, where's the negative press about it? I'll wait.

Why not all of the above? I've blocked out the day. I think a nice long ride ended with a big cookout with like-minded people sounds like a fantastic time.

Anyone order t-shirts before with Cafepress? I have no idea how to group ordering. Maybe someone familiar with paypal selling (i've only bought)? These are like $24 each. Most of us know what the III stands for, and it wouldn't be offensive. But really kind of speaks to what is happening and who we are.

i see where you are going with these shirts and why. Really it would be more fun to shout Molon Labe from the sunroof. But, I have to wonder if business casual would be a better choice.

If someone has a t-shirt business, I'm thinking orange t-shirts with "are your civil rights next?" on them could be a thing for the next public demonstration.

Then share with other groups besides gun owners. We need to join in with other causes.

I've been thinking about this as an option: http://www.staples.com/sbd/content/copyandprint/magnetic-signs.html

I figure one on each side of the car for the rally would work. Would like some input from GOAL on having a consistent message. A less expensive option would be window clings (Staples also does them) on the inside of the rear windows on each side but not sure about legality of blocked visibility.

Definitely in to participate in the rally and I like #DueProcession

Thanks for that link, I was thinking more to the 2' x 3' custom made flag size; If anyone knows who makes custom flags that size please post a link. If I can't get a flag soon I may have to paint one myself.
