Good deal on silver.. Maybe

For $1.49 over spot, it seems like a good deal considering they are .999 pure with the weight and purity stamped on the face. And the fact that they are fractional (1/2 oz) makes them suited for barter situations.

$1.49 over spot with no commission is a great price. The problem is that you have to find a way to get it to you. Call me paranoid (my wife does!), but all of my gold/silver purchases are face-to-face, cash-is-king, and no names. Bring a scale and know how to test the metal if you aren't familiar with the seller.

Don't forget to add shipping... around $13 for Apmex...unless you buy a lot and it could go up to at least $25.... APMEX is a good place. I send payment via check and usually it will arrive about 15 days after I send the check. It is signature required on delivery so if you aren't home they won't deliver it and you'll have to get it from the P.O.
