Does anyone know of any gun-friendly state reps / senators?
I have this crazy idea that MAYBE I could persuade someone to sponsor a bill deregulating adjustable stocks for rifles and shotguns.
According to my research an adjustable stock (NOT folding or collapsible) only reduces / expands the length of a rifle / shotgun stock by about 3 or 4 inches.
There is no good reason why adjustable stocks should be banned or considered to be an "assault rifle" features.
They simply make the rifle / shotgun easier to handle for little / big people.
Am I nuts? I'd like to give it a try. My rep is Ed Coppinger and my senator is Mike Rush. I don't know about Ed but Mike used to have an A rating from the NRA.
Any constructive advice would be appreciated.
Thank you..

If it doesn't "fold" or "telescope" it is not currently an assault weapon feature in MA (assuming we're talking about weapons which meet the first test of the AWB).
