I was wondering if anyone here was one of these carbines, and what you guys think of them. I am "IN" on the group buy of these, if another buy ever happens, and I was wondering what you guys think of them.

There has been 2 group buy purchases on these in the past, and was wondering how they shoot, accuracy, durability, etc etc.

I want one in 9mm. The reviews online say they are fun little carbines, but want to know what you guys think as well.

It is a great range toy. Everyone I have brought to the range loves to shoot it. Very little recoil, 9mm is cheap and it is ugly. Mine was as accurate as I can be, right out of the box, at 50 yds with sights. From what I have heard, the lifetime warranty is a no-hassle issue. No problems with anything I have fed it, Tula, Wolf, WWB, Federal Eagle, Independence, etc. I feel it was worth it. Good Luck.

Cool. That is what most others say online. I don't think they are as ugly as some people say though. To me, they are kind of cool looking. [laugh]

I've shot Dirtypacman's 9mm Hi-Point several times, and every time I've enjoyed it. Cheap fun, especially if you reload 9mm.

Ugly as sin but I would like one eventually. At the price they're hard to beat. Watch Iraqveteran8888's Hi Point pistol destruction videos on Youtube. They test it by doing insane tests and even drive a hex bolt down the barrel and shooting it. It eventually explodes but the 9mm took a crapload of abuse. Goes to show you how durable their products are.

The 9mm is really fun as a carbine round and I have shot my friend's Beretta Storm many times. I'd say to buy one if you could find one. Four Seasons had one used about 2 weeks ago, you can check their website to see if it's still available. If you do buy one, let me know so I can try it out. And if it goes the other way, I'll PM you.

Yeah I enjoy it every time I use it. I also think its pretty ugly but then again fun over form on this one. Its one of the cheapest dates I can bring to the range other then my 10/22 to just make some holes.

I bought one in the last group buy (9mm) and I love it. It is like owning a mutt dog... Ugly but loveable. I would recommend the pro pack accessory for the additional 2 magazines and the mag holder that mounts on the stock (adds to the tacticool effect). If the new group buy goes through I will be buying a .45 version as a big brother to the 9mm.

I also have one from the GB.

My only complaint is the actual trigger is awful. It kills your finger after a few mags.
I would wear a glove, but the trigger guard is too small to have a gloved finger...

As for accuracy and fun, its a solid 9 all the way!

I hope the group buy goes through on these things. I really want one, and have never even shot one. They just look like fun.

You can try mine.

It will have to be in my back yard, as my club has now instituted fudd rules and no one can bring guests.

Your more than welcome to give mine a try if your ever in and/or around the Mansfield area, give me a PM.

Thank you both for the offers. I might take one of you up on it sooner then later. [wink]

If anyone wants to shoot mine let me know. My range doesnt allow them so i can only shoot it at other ranges... Or my buddies camp in NH right off the porch.

Mine has been fed a steady diet of nothing but TulAmmo, (Except that one time at S&W....they dont like steel case) and it puts all the rounds through a hole smaller than a golf ball off hand. No failures of any kind, you just have to pull the bolt far enough back when inserting a new mag so it doesn't override the top round. If you have any issues HP fixes it for free.

I think the only thing I don't like about mine is the trigger. It's pretty heavy, feels heavier than a standard AR15 trigger (which I don't have an issue with)

I keep hearing that the triggers are very heavy. The Sub2000 still looks like a better 9mm carbine IMO. How come you chose the Hi Point?

I missed that GB, those were some great prices! Now they are backordered till October. [sad]

Who knows, I might get bored with them and sell them. They're easily the ugliest guns I've ever seen in person. I feel like they should make "pew pew" spacegun laser noises when I pull the trigger [grin]

That said, they are inexpensive and they work. For the cost of one I could lose it in my house somewhere and not worry too much.*
