Does anyone else here love Hill People Gear? I just picked up 2 packs, the Tarahumara, the Umlindi, and a runners kit bag from them, it is pricy but made in the U.S.A by First spear.

Here as well. Have a Serape and have had an Umlindi, several taras and a kit bag (of which I'm looking for again). Also looking to pick up one of their tool rolls.

The serape is on my to buy list, getting my preps in order before I buy. A lot of there stuff is always out of stock because everyone buys it up.

I've been thinking of getting a kit bag for a while, and lately I've been thinking that the heavy recon kit bag would work well as a fly fishing chest pack.

I like my Serape a lot, but mostly use it as a blanket and in that function, prefer my Kifaru Woobie.

My Kifaru woobie is maybe 5 years old now and it's awesome. Easily one of my favorite pieces of gear/house blanket. I would buy one again in a heartbeat if i lost/broke mine, regardless of the recent price hike. I also have a couple USGI Woobies and they don't compare. It's like comparing a bb gun to a rifle. They look similar, but are completely different animals.

I have a Recon with a BFG 10speed panel on the front of it and I do like it. The new Heavy Recon Kit bag looks bad ass though.

Hill Ppl is quality gear.

I've been hoping for a front pack with a little more room than what they offer in theirs (suggestions welcome). But, even overstuffed with molle pouches hanging on the front to create the extra capacity needed, their front packs are holding up very well for convenient capacity while hiking/camping.

They're also very convenient for airline travel as a man purse.
:)

Does the kifaru woobie zip/button up so you can make a light sleeping bag?

Kifaru makes something like that Kit bag called the Koala. I have never held one myself, but it looks modular and expandable.

I got a Ribz wear pack as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to take it out on any trips, but it seems pretty well made and I didn't see any immediate issues while wearing it around the house. I was a little concerned that the strap padding would be annoying under my larger backpack straps, but they were fine.
