HK P30s .40 or 9mm?

Is there a noticeable/strong difference when shooting the .40? I am in MA and have been having a real tough time finding the .40cal (in the S version, not LS) for sale at any dealer... Might have to settle for the 9mm. Thoughts?

the 9mm is awesome

never heard anyone said they cannot find the .40 so they will settle for the 9mm. havent't shot the .40 so no thoughts on it but i love my 9mm

Yeah not so much "settling" I guess, just have a couple 9's already and wanted to get a different caliber. I've heard good things about the P30. Fine looking piece too.

Do you have other 9s or .40s? Buy what you have. Saves on ammo cost from having some of this and some of that. If you get the same you can have a lot of one.

Got 2 other 9's (Beretta 92 Inox and Sig 226) and no .40 - to which some would say who cares screw the .40 if you can get an HK in 9mm and hey they might be right. Just wanted to change it up a bit. I'm not really tied to the caliber.

Finally just got rid of my last .40 handgun. Never going back. Go with the 9 or a 45, if they decide to make one.
