I'm suspicious of low post-count users asking questions like this.

Your probobly scared to go to the super market. I cant ask a question cause im a new user?

Thanks alot. Way to make me feel welcome

The Attorney General's office has rats who monitor the board. When people have mentioned on NES vendors of ammunition (or components) that would ship to MA residents, the AG's office shortly thereafter sent threatening demand letters to the vendors.

So that's why some folks around here are suspicious -- they've got every reason to be, based on past behavior of the Attorney General's office.

So no one here is going to tell you an online vendor who will ship ammunition to you, unless they know you personally. Sorry.

In addition to what M1911 said, it's actually against the rules here to post sites that will ship ammo to MA.

Definitely ask around at your gun shops, or stock up out of state. You live in MA, so anything firearms related just sucks.

Like my sig says...it's not paranoia, if they really are out to get you. Welcome to the forum, hang around, ask away. Sometimes you'll get burned on an answer, but if you're respectful and don't jump down peoples throats or act stupid, you'll fit in and be fine.

There are some out there that ship to massachusetts?

Listen I know nobody hear knows me. I need ammution for my 1986 s&w 649 that they said I should not shoot plus p's in. I realy dont feel like driving to CT or ME to get it. If someone will PM me a company that will ship direct I would appreciate it.

I have been to a few IDPA matches but dont go to gun clubs much. My grand dad owns a farm in the boondocks, so I have no need.

If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it. I am no ma**h*** martha lover. Save me some money.

You're not helping yourself.

There is plenty of non+p ammo around that you can shoot in your j-frame for non defensive purposes. For defense, try out a load once - it won't wreck your gun. If it functions, you don't need to train with it. Your other option is to have a gun shop order the ammo for you. In addition, I believe I have seen 125gr Nyclad at FS Guns in the past - it is a non-+p loading. A reputable gun shop in MA will help you out. I don't believe that they all told you to take a hike.

They are out there. You can find them, if you search online. It's not all that hard. While we're 99.9% sure you aren't a snitch...there's still that .1%. Go green, head to an NES shoot (there's one in August), mingle, get to know people, and ask, then. If you go to IDPA matches, there's a chance you'll see people in the black and red Northeastshooters.com tech shirts, introduce yourself to them, or just hang out here on the forum and get to know people, that way.

Sorry that we have to be like this, but the internet is the great anonymizer, and you could be Martha, and I could be Duval, however unlikely either is.

Most people recommend that you periodically train with your carry ammo, not just shoot once and call it a day. +P out of a snub will feel totally different than your standard plinking loads.

So call up a gun store and ask them for .38 Spcl defensive ammo that is not plus P. If they won't get you Buffalo Bore, they either stock or will get something else. It's really not a big deal.

Drive to Cabela's in CT? THIS or Cabelas in Portland, Me? THIS

MA is so screwed up...Like ammo mailed into the state will be the root of all evil.

BTW- my old man uses Buffalo Bore Ammo in his one of a kind custom .32 acp NA Guardian and the stuff rocks.
However, I'm not sure it will work in my .32 acp Seecamp? And it would cost quite a bit to find out.

You can say what ever you want. I go to allot of gun store and ever time I inquire they tell me there distributor doesn't sell it. Also, I have not seen in any of the local gun shops I frequent a good non plus p defense load.

And to the person who commented about limited use of plus p for carry. I don't want to. If I wanted to I would be.

Im not a noob that needs gun advise. I just wanted to know where to get a specific type of ammo.

One more thing. It would cost me $30 in gas at least, to drive to ME or CT add in the cost of ammo and now I have a box of 25 rounds that cost me $50 - $60.

Thank you to the members that left the helpfull comments. For those of you that wernt helpfull. CHILLL Im not a commi

Isn't Buffalo Bore's big thing that all their ammo is ++P++?(or whatever) Or am I behind the times and they make non +P ammo too?

And anyone who's licensed to sell ammo in MA should be able to order you some.

If you're in central MA, there's a guy who will most likely order it for you. You can PM me for his contact info.

snubking, someone earlier mentioned upgrading your membership here to "Green" and going to a member shoot. This is a great idea, not only will you meet some great people, but you will learn things like where to look for ammo.

Until then, you could do what I used to do, sometimes still do if the price is right, find a friend in RI (or what ever state is closer to you) to order for you.

For the record, purchasing ammo online is expensive with regards to shipping - there's a hazmat tax, and it weighs a ton. 250 rounds of .22lr, or about $20 worth, cost over $10 to ship. 50 rounds of .38 jhp, hydro shok, costs $30 at random places online, and would cost $12 to ship - 250 rounds, at $150, costs $16 to ship. $25 to ship 500 rounds ($300 worth). It doesn't make sense to buy ammo online unless you are buying in bulk.

Good luck with your search, try and email a whole lot of places you've found through a google search. Most will say no. Some will say yes.

Yup.

What, are they all out of School Smasher brand ammo? How about Bus Buster in 88mag.?
