How many members have a "shooter grade" M1 carbine?

Do you have a "shooter grade" M1 Carbine to participate in a NES sponsored event?

Thought came up in a recent post. Do we have enough members with a "shooter grade" M1 carbine to have a NES carbine shoot? Simple "yes" or no "poll." We don't need to know how many carbines you have; save if you have another shooter grade to loan!

Only got one - Winchester from the CMP in 2016. I got plenty of reloads to shoot...

I shot in the Carbine match at Perry this year.
It's a very quick match and was a lot of fun.
I would be interested in shooting a match like it around here.

If we can't really get a match going maybe shoot a local cmp or other club organized shoot and do a postal match that way?

Yes the cmp games format is quick 35 rounds 5 sighters 10 prone slow 10 prone rapid and 10 standing slow.

Carbine match is slightly different - 100 yrds on SR1, 40 rounds for score, 10 sighters?, IIRC. Mags are loaded w/ 5 rnd even for slow fire. A fun match.
so they still run the standing to sitting stage cool. Im surprised they have not did away with that also?
you need to be aware of the shooters around you during slow fire and muzzle control for the carbine match see you load 5 rounds for slow fire.

I have one of the USGI rebuilds that went on vacation in Italy. I had no idea what the “FAT79” stamp on the stock meant for years until I finally got around to googling it.
Excellent shooter. I’ve competed with it before. Where we doing this?

***1/16/18 ETA: Nevermind. I just saw the other thread describing the rules. It's not an actual NES gathering where we all shoot together. ;)***
