I am looking into this radio...

FTM-300DR

Or...

FTM-400DR

What do I need to put it into a Pelican case to make it actually mobile?

I guess I need a battery, cables, and padding.

Is there anywhere to buy a ready made set up for this purpose?

I want to keep the radio in the box and use it at home connected to an outlet, but have the option to take it outdoors and use the battery.

I will also need a portable antenna.

This is the whole point of the hobby dude. If you can imagine it, you can probably do it. There's research out there, and things are growing more plug and play every day, but at some point it's all about sweat equity.

Build > Test > Refine > Repeat

Here's a site with a bunch of go box designs, some for sale. I think design and layout is a personal preference and playing with different layouts and boxes until you get what you want is necessary. I don't think there is one design that will fit everyone's personality. There's also the "look factor" and what you want it to look like.
