I got the need... the need for speed

Poverty website since 5/2024
Estimated price range: $1700 – $2000
It is a custom upper and lower and magazine
It would be a huge amount of money to produce something like this in low quantities

This is never going to happen
I wonder who funded this

I could see niche uses within the security environment, that's a lot of bullets in one package. But the loss of cross population is not something to overlook. Complete retraining of your people, one source magazines, just to name 2 off the top of my head.

I could see people buying it.
I do not see making the thing for $2k and under and making a profit

Its cool to see innovation

Will i rock it no but i like it

If I had Powerball (tm) money, sure. But if I'm running a business, which is what that company needs, is multiples of, as a client, I'm going to think long and hard before I make this purchase.
I don't see it picking up steam either

The problem to me is on the reverse say you have one of these and then go run an ar and forget you can't flip the mag around

Proprietary bolt carrier, upper and lower from a company no one knows.

No one is buying this for their security team. People will continue to use common AR15 that can be found anywhere.

This is a nice toy for regular gun owners and LARPing.

IMO, it's a solution looking for a problem.

With a moderate amount of practice, using that thing would only be slightly faster for doing a reload. It could even be slower than doing a tactical reload once you've practiced enough. When shooting for time (would be the same during an event) it's better to hit the mag release while you're grabbing the fresh mag. Once empty is free, insert the full one and drop the bolt (if you need to). IIRC, you can easily do that in less than two or three seconds. Having to grab the mag in the opening post, hit the release, remove it, flip it 180 degrees, then reinsert it then hit the bolt release won't really save much time (if any). Might even take you longer. During higher stress, having LESS actions to perform is better. The flipping of the mag like that adds in a negative way (IMO).

I don't see the market need for it. Is the selling point that it's a regular AR magwell that takes 9mm? With all the required pieces, it turns your AR into a dedicated 9mm. Plus what's wrong with two glock sticks?
