I know we're not supposed to post p*rn on here, but brrrrrrrrt

In 1982 we were tasked with being umpires for an exercise at Grafenwöhr training area, the 90 square mile training area we took over from the Germans. Had to set up a GP Medium* on an exposed ridge on one of the many hills to use as an exercise headquarters and radio relay station.

While we were setting up, an A10 flew up the valley, below us. The pilot saw us, stood it on the wing, pulled a 180, nodded to us through the top of his canopy, and flew back up the valley. Maybe 300’ off the ground.

* Pretty easy if you RTFM. Not easy if you don’t. 16’x32’.

I wish people had cell phone cameras back then, we would have captured a lot of cool things.
