Is it time For a Shots Fired in My Town thread?

Armed yutes with drugs ina woods.
They weren't on public land I'll guarantee. Not sure why there's no trespass charges there.
Also please keep your Mass trash in the PR.
That's the point.

Border towns will always have issues. Lawrence, Lowell, Fitchburg, Haverhill are all dump or dump-lite cities that are a quick drive to NH. Also for some reason NH has popped up on the general Hispanic radar. (I realize many of the names in the article are Cambodian) I hear more and more talk of how they spend time up there on weekends and how many are looking to live up there. Sorry...

Lots of duck hunting going on near our house very early in the morning, starting as early as 6:55am...even New Year's morning! I can see the hunters in their boats from our bedroom and living room windows. While I appreciate the "sound of freedom" (as mentioned above), I'd prefer not to be woken up by it so damn early in the morning!

Every one of the 7 were charged with resisting arrest. Reading between the lines, they fled into the woods and had to be located using thermal imaging on a drone. Is hiding in the woods "resisting arrest" now?
This is actually a good point but incorrect in this case, I was curious about the same when I first heard about this.

You lose your right to not be detained without cause when you trespass. Orders to stop and be detained were lawful and therefore failure on their part, was unlawful.

No argument there, but is "resisting arrest" the correct charge for that situation?

We sold our house a couple of years ago. Before we put it on the market I went around checking the outside of the house looking for things that might need attention. I found a hole in the vinyl siding corner post about the diameter of your thumb. The wood was splintered and the hole was a few inches deep.

I remember a few weeks earlier I was sitting on the sofa watching tv when something struck the house. Loud noise and a thump against the house. I thought it was a limb breaking off of a tree on that corner. I went out and checked but there were no limbs down. I didn't notice the hole at that time. The hole was right at the 90 degree edge of the corner. Not very visible from the front or side.

There is a town owned meadow across the street where they allow hunting and encourage people to walk the well maintained path around the perimeter. They recommend people wear bright colors and keep dogs on a leash.

Where I was sitting on the sofa was about 10' from where the hole was.

Time to kit up!

ya maybe the ducks could come in later in the morning.

One of my "neighbors" is an FBI agent. I say neighbors but it is not a traditional neighborhood. About 10 houses that kind of popped up through the years on about 45 acres. The street is only paved for about 600' then turns into a dirt road that runs alongside the river, down to a little landing that you can drag a canoe into the water.

The FBI guy has about 5 acres that abuts the river. Directly across the river is a golf course. I swear he has an informal range set up. Every now and then, we will hear a couple of full magazines of pistol fire ring out. Very distinct, controlled fire. I figure it is more of a function test running through a couple of magazines.

I have only met him a couple of times when the neighborhood kids were all sledding on the hill on my property, but I really don't want to ask him about it. Generally not a fan of the Boston FBI, but I really don't want to give him a reason to dig into my info, although I am sure he has looked into everyone who lives around here.

I hear shots pretty much daily where I am. Of course that's due to the gun range being one of my "neighbors". I'm one minute from the Pelham fish and game utility range, two minutes from the action bays/clubhouse. Plenty of evening/night skeet/trap shooting too. I'm just glad that the Mon-Sat start time is 8am, Sunday it's 9am.
