I just can't keep up anymore.
I have a Ruger Ranch in 300 Blackout and I'm very happy with it as I reload for differnt bullet weights and powders. I might look into this.I could probably see myself getting one in 300 blk...just cause there's nothing out there in 300 blk for wood guns and I reload it and Ill have several AR's for that caliber and a can for them as well if ever needed.
The Henry Supreme Lever Action Rifle.
Is it just plain ugly compared to the classic lines of a Marlin or Winchester?
It's worse than ugly. It's ugly and stupid. Why have a lever on a magazine fed rifle? It looks like a BAR raped an 1894 and the offspring was a retarded half breed. It's a red head with an afro, freckles and big lips that can't play basketball.
I'll just stick with one of my ARs for shooting 5.56/.233/300blk. If I'm getting a lever gun, it will be in .357.Most comprehensive video I've seen on the henry supreme.
I get it....barrels gonna get hot to handle but it didn't seem to shot string like the ruger mini14 shit storm.
Pinching a finger rapid firing it.....I bet with practice someone could over come that.
Thanks for posting that.
The BAR mk3 just caught my eye. I have no use for it but I want it.It's worse than ugly. It's ugly and stupid. Why have a lever on a magazine fed rifle? It looks like a BAR raped an 1894 and the offspring was a retarded half breed. It's a red head with an afro, freckles and big lips that can't play basketball.
Yeah.....Ruger Gen2 was on the list as there isn't many bolt guns in .300 BLK. I wish Howa made a mini action in 300. I can live with the plastic stocks. If you have a hard-on for a 300 Blackout [AR] rifle with wood furniture, Woox makes stuff for you too. It's crossed my mind, but not something I'm looking to do at this time. I won't rule it out from a future build though.
Holy god.....thats even uglier.IMO, this would be a better option that the thing from Henry...
I'm sure you could get some wood furniture for it (reach out to Woox ) if you really wanted to. Looks like the magazine placement is better than on the Henry too. Zero chance of any pinching.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I must be blind.
You realize the pinching was between the trigger and lever, right? This is them not being good at running the lever quickly. It has nothing to do with the magazine placement. The Fightlite lever action might be a bit on the non-pretty side of things, but at least the lever isn't too damned close to the magazine. IMO, that's one spot that Henry dropped the ball. I've not had hands on with the thing, and don't know if I ever will. But knowing how people are, NOT having a healthy gap between the two items is a pretty serious design flaw. As Fightlite shows, you CAN do a lever action and not have the magazine so damned close to the parts where people's hands go.
Of course, I'd love to get one of their belt fed uppers at some point.
Will it......will it take a drum mag?It takes AR mags and is 5.56 or 300blk. For some states with restrictions on mag capacity for semi autos it makes sense.
Like a friend in a bar fight, I don't care what he looks like as long as he can take care of business.I guess it's one of those, to each their own situation. I personally don't like it. Though I also think the S&W M&P Semi Autos are butt ugly as well, while other people love them. Many a guns have been made that have gone the way of the dodo. This could be another.
not helpful enough anymore. Its the MAGS that are illegal. It takes AR mags and is 5.56 or 300blk. For some states with restrictions on mag capacity for semi autos it makes sense.
