Is it ugly or just awkward?

Honestly, I think it would be kind of fun.

I gotta respect any gun manufacturer who thinks outside the box
and tries something different. I have a Long Ranger Express in 5.56
and its a blast to shoot, but the 5rd mags empty all to soon.

I have way to many rifles in 5.56/.223, but this in a .308 or 6.5CM
might be interesting.

It's a Trans rifle!
If you were blindfolded, and someone gave it to you, you would be all excited, run your hand over the wood stock... find the lever and cycle it... a smile of familiarity raises the corners of your mouth, then, instinctively, you would slide your hand slowly over the receiver, gently looking to finger the loading gate. A confused look comes over your face as you continue to slide your hand forward, and a startled look, then a gasp! You rip off your blindfold and it is like a scene from " The Crying Game" It's a f***ing magazine! A big honking, slightly curved, 30 round magazine.

You throw the rifle in disgust, and puke on the floor. Then @Broc Tuah yells " Don't you throw Lola!"

I could probably see myself getting one in 300 blk...just cause there's nothing out there in 300 blk for wood guns and I reload it and Ill have several AR's for that caliber and a can for them as well if ever needed.
I have a Ruger Ranch in 300 Blackout and I'm very happy with it as I reload for differnt bullet weights and powders. I might look into this.

You worked late so you got to the bar late. It was about 10 by the time you cleaned up and got a bite to eat. You order a shot of jose cuervo and a PBR and have a look around the room. Music is still going but a lot of the more attractive people have already paired off and left or are about to. Your expectations are low, but what the hell, it's retro techno night, so you hit the dance floor. The set is dark with a crazy light show, and the deep sounds and heavy jungle rythyms reverberating in your chest give you the inspiration you need to let yourself go. You dance with a 4 and her slightly hotter friend but they're sucking down drinks way too fast for your comfort so you decide to pass. It's getting late, and just as you're thinking about to head home THAT THING starts dancing closer and closer until it's ass is rubbing on you. It looks like a woman but has some weird protrusions and you're pretty sure there is something unusual going on. It's like looking into the uncanny valley.

What do you do?

The Henry Supreme Lever Action Rifle.

Is it just plain ugly compared to the classic lines of a Marlin or Winchester?

It's ugly compared to anything with either a tubular magazine or an integral box mag. Marlin, Winchester, or Henry.

The gun itself is unchanged. The problem is the plastic mag sticking out the bottom.

It's worse than ugly. It's ugly and stupid. Why have a lever on a magazine fed rifle? It looks like a BAR raped an 1894 and the offspring was a retarded half breed. It's a red head with an afro, freckles and big lips that can't play basketball.

Most comprehensive video I've seen on the henry supreme.

I get it....barrels gonna get hot to handle but it didn't seem to shot string like the ruger mini14 shit storm.

Pinching a finger rapid firing it.....I bet with practice someone could over come that.

Thanks for posting that.
I'll just stick with one of my ARs for shooting 5.56/.233/300blk. If I'm getting a lever gun, it will be in .357.

The BAR mk3 just caught my eye. I have no use for it but I want it.

I guess it's one of those, to each their own situation. I personally don't like it. Though I also think the S&W M&P Semi Autos are butt ugly as well, while other people love them. Many a guns have been made that have gone the way of the dodo. This could be another.

If you have a hard-on for a 300 Blackout [AR] rifle with wood furniture, Woox makes stuff for you too. It's crossed my mind, but not something I'm looking to do at this time. I won't rule it out from a future build though.

Yeah.....Ruger Gen2 was on the list as there isn't many bolt guns in .300 BLK. I wish Howa made a mini action in 300. I can live with the plastic stocks.

IMO, this would be a better option that the thing from Henry...

I'm sure you could get some wood furniture for it (reach out to Woox ;)) if you really wanted to. Looks like the magazine placement is better than on the Henry too. Zero chance of any pinching. :D
Holy god.....thats even uglier.

The Fightlite lever action might be a bit on the non-pretty side of things, but at least the lever isn't too damned close to the magazine. IMO, that's one spot that Henry dropped the ball. I've not had hands on with the thing, and don't know if I ever will. But knowing how people are, NOT having a healthy gap between the two items is a pretty serious design flaw. As Fightlite shows, you CAN do a lever action and not have the magazine so damned close to the parts where people's hands go.

Of course, I'd love to get one of their belt fed uppers at some point.

Reminds me of a winchester 1907 with a lever.

Is it ugly compared to thr classic lines? No, 1907 is classic and it's pretty close.

Is it awkward? Yes. Didn't need no lever.

You realize the pinching was between the trigger and lever, right? This is them not being good at running the lever quickly. It has nothing to do with the magazine placement.

Like a friend in a bar fight, I don't care what he looks like as long as he can take care of business.

I have questions, lots of questions about the gun, but some of you think I'm an idiot already, so I'll just keep them to myself.
