I have a license but haven't had a chance to go out there yet... Is the last day today or tomorrow? I want to say tomorrow because that's when I was planning to go but am not sure.

I've never hunted in MA before (have done so elsewhere) - is the blaze orange hat considered sufficient? Any nuances I should know about?

Thursday, 12/31, is the last day of primitive firearms season.

In MA, the blaze orange requirement includes a hat, and front & back coverage of at least 500 sq/in.

No loaded firearms permitted within 500' of an occupied dwelling while hunting (a muzzleloader is considered "not loaded" if the primer is removed). No open carrying along a road unless actively engaged in hunting. No discharge of a firearm within 150' of a roadway, and no discharge within 500' of an occupied dwelling.
