Generally, I’ve had good experiences shopping here, but my last attempt has me fuming. It’s not out of the ordinary to ask for an eta for an ordered firearm, especially around the holidays due to shipping issues and generally everyone’s busy. I’m exceptionally busy this time of year and need to schedule everything.

That said KAG Arms lost my business today, and I’m sad to say it. I asked for an eta twice, and was told “ we’re done, I no longer want to work with you”. Attached are the screen shots since he thinks I’m gutless and won’t post it.

Have a good one Sharif, ( probably misspelled ).

IMO, a short phone call could have resolved all of this in a few minutes. He might only get a broad time frame from his supplier/distributor on things. With this being holiday crunch, shipping times are all over the place. So while it could NORMALLY be X-Y days from order placement, it could be who knows how long right now.

Which is fine. I needed a ball park, not an exact date/time it arrives. If he said “ 5-7 business days” I can make sure I don’t concrete anything on my schedule during that time window ( just an example)

No, I work a lot and just needed to know when to free up time to come get it when it arrived. It’s the holidays, family, busy work schedule, etc.
You need to learn some f***ing patience. Gun dealers have developed a keen sense for “customers” who aren’t worth dealing with because they won’t leave you alone. To you it’s a once in a while purchase and very important, to them it one of dozens or hundreds of orders in a month. If you’re already badgering him with multiple requests within the first day after ordering his spidey sense says you suck. @KAG Arms might be justified to shoot you in the dick if you were in the shop asking the question in person.

You’re inclined to think so. A business owner who can’t provide an eta for an order, regardless of whether it’s important for them or not, is unprofessional. Simply saying “ 2-3weeks” tells me to ask in 2-3 weeks. It’s not a difficult concept. He decided to leave me in the dark.

Am I out of touch or is this timeline insane behavior? Sources gun on Thursday night, Friday says he'll be in touch when it arrives, and you follow up on Saturday asking if it's there yet?

I asked for an ETA, not if it arrived. My question of “any luck “ was again inquiring for an eta. If I’m impatient, it’s because I wasn’t given an eta, I was left in the dark. “I’ll let you know when it arrives “ could be 6 days or 6 months, either way I need to know.

You don’t have to agree on my stand, I’m not bothered either way. I won’t reply here anymore. I came and made my point. Have fun.

IBTL

Did any of his wholesalers have one?

Is he going to have to wait for one of them to get it from a manufacturer/importer?

Shipping anything at this time of the year is a crap shoot as to when it will get there, tracking number or not.

You are the type of customer we will not work for in our shop.

I don't know what the markup is on that gun, but I suspect it is not much, bit even if it were a hefty chunk of change it isn't going to be worth his time to have to deal with a customer who is unreasonable in their demands.

Seems fair to me to want to know a ballpark estimate on an order. When you guys order something online, aren’t you curious when it’s coming in? A week? 6 months?

I’m pretty easy to please but I’d want to have a rough idea. I’d be happy with “I really don’t know, but they usually ship within a week. I’ll call you when it comes in.

I like KAG also and never had a problem there, but an ETA doesn’t seem unreasonable. I suspect if this was anything besides a local gun shop, you guys would all be on OPs side.

Maybe there is more to this story?

Pretty much, sure, it's nice to send a message, email, text. Some people communicate well this way and it's a time saver.

But if the above goes sideways, or isn't working, it's a total time waster - busy people pickup the phone and call. It irons out about 95% of problems in 2 minutes.

That was my tell that I am dealing with an immature and petulant child.

Had to act out his emotions and seek attention after being fired to let people know that he actually quit and was not fired.

I generally avoid such self centered individuals as his responses here continue to demonstrate. The pattern of its all about him is self-evident.

Nope that’s it. @Snora hits the nail on the head.

I will let you know when it arrives is a form of I’ll call you when it comes in, I think.🤔

You’ve never minded taking my money for firearms or ammunition in the past. I don’t work for you, so idk who you’ve fired but maybe a trip to the doctor is in order, you seem to have memory loss. Im a paying customer. I’ve also ordered other firearms from other dealers and didn’t have an issue with getting an estimate of delivery, since there are laws on how firearms are shipped, providing an estimate isn’t a difficult process.

I simply asked for an estimated time of arrival. You’re projecting your behavior as mine, calling me a petulant child seems to describe your behavior, not mine. It’s professional to provide an estimated time of arrival for a purchase, something your feeble mind can’t fathom, which also explains your lack of vocabulary. None of this is about me. It’s about your unprofessional behavior and generally disrespectful communication.

Enjoy your tiny existence atop your imaginary throne of superiority. I’m sure my loss of business won’t keep you up at night let alone make any difference, you can’t comprehend your wrongdoings anyway. Get bent f@ckwad, may the veiny dick of authority find you un-lubed and unprepared.

This may have been applicable in the past, but I have had to tell my customers for the past three or four years that they will not get ETA's anymore due to continued supply chain issues and I have dumped a handful of customers that are continually bothersome. I cannot shit a pump, heater or circuit board out of my ass. The reality in business these days is that promised ETA's from suppliers are not honored.

I thought you were not bothered and won't reply here any more. Can you please have some integrity, be a man of your word and honor your commitment?

Understandably, however none of that was communicated, and if he was actually able to source one, providing an estimated time of arrival after 48 hours isn’t impossible nor improbable.
