You need to host the picture somewhere (flickr, photobucket, etc.), then link to the img inside an IMG tag.

I had a PM9 and it was a great gun. As others mentioned, long DA-ish trigger pull, but super smooth and not too heavy. Very nice gun, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Kahr's.

I did trade it in for Shield 9mm with the full Apex job and I like it just as much.

Had one. Sold One. Gun was 100% reliable for me but my only complaint was that the stippling on the grip was really sharp. Had to wear a glove at the range. Good carry piece though. Top notch quality. This was mine

Best thing to do is put them on photobucket, google drive, etc, and use the image button and insert the URLs from there. (sometimes theres a share function that shows the URL of the pic after you upload it).

First pics don't make it look so bad, but post #39 you can see the light through there... that looks a little ree ree. On a lot of pistols its kinda normal to see a gap on the back end but not the front.

I have several Kahrs (K9, K40, MK9, and PM9). The P9 is a polymer version of the K9. The grip is big enough to fit all your fingers and the sight radius is decent. It is far, far slimmer than a Glock 19, so it is much easier to conceal. Downside, of course, is lower capacity. The trigger feel is like a very good revolver -- long and smooth. But the longer reset makes it significantly slower to get follow up shots than a Glock 19.

Kahr has had some issues with the quality of their moldings. The dustshield of my PM9 is distinctly wavy. It seems to function fine, but it doesn't look great. Tell him to field strip the P9 and look carefully at the frame.

The PM9 doesn't have forward steel rail inserts, just plastic nubs that fit into the slide. They seem to work fine, but I do wonder how they will last over time.

The Kahr is a narrow single stack, so it works well for small to medium sized hands. If your friend has big mitts then the P9 might feel too small for him. I can't comment on price as I haven't priced one.

Does your PM9 have the steel rails along the inner sides of the dust cover? The slide rides along those rails.

(not my pic, top frame is a Kahr)

The dust shield on my PM9 could be described as wavy, but it's also symmetrical. So I think it's supposed to be that way.

Are they all like this or is it it just mine?

They all are.

my p9 is similar.
it bugged me for a while but it functions excellently w tight barrel-slide lockup. My suggestion is to stop looking at it and enjoy shooting it.

i have a buddy who is a kahr technician....my understanding is theres nothing here to fix.

im sure there are NES tactical ninjas out there who would claim its a POS and kahr is garbage and yadda yadda yadda whatever.

I think you guys are right. Its most likely cosmetic. Its a nice gun. I like its size. I'm am disappointed in quality of construction albeit likely cosmetic, but it and the response from the company is not what you would expect for a brand new hand gun at this price range. Feel like I should have just bought a shield for half the price.

Are you sure the bowing wasn't there when you first got the gun? The bowing and the gap between the frame and slide seem to be there in every single Kahr picture I could find. If anything, the consistency is a good sign of manufacturing competency.

Yeah, Kahr frames seem a bit on the cheesy side compared to something like HK polymer frames, but the quality of their machining is top notch.

Follow the break in procedure in the manual, put aside your OCD and enjoy how easy it is to carry.

Upon further review, like PaulD says, that's pretty typical for a Kahr. If it was mine I'd stop caring and just shoot it. With the bigger pictures it doesn't look as bad as I thought it did.

Here's another Kahr idiosyncrasy (or at least for the PM9).

When you dry fire it, the rear of the slide rises when the trigger is all the way back and then drops again when you let off.

This thread makes me realize I probably ought to clean all the pocket lint and shmegma off mine.
