Also, which Kershaw Steel are you making rust? There are a couple of main ones they use. It’s a steals and deals thread, but my heart says spend the extra $ and get a knife with S30V at a minimum. It’s widely popular and available at a few price ranges once you cross the $50 threshold.
I might be a steel snob...

It was an older Zing, pre-speedsafe, when it was just a flipper. Not sure of the steel. I believe it was just the oils from my skin making the steel rust.

This guy sells some nice Scandinavian knives. On the cheap end of things check out the Mora knives. Not tacticool but solid long lasting knives with great blades. I have a few and my daily carry, a Swedish EKA has been in my pocket everyday for 10 years.

Knives keep moving around. When you find one you absolutely love... Buy it!

In theory. you never pay more than the price range on the one knife, but get to try many, many brands and styles...
