I don't mind the ugly, but it seems like the whole point of the design is to make it controllable in FA. Even with .45 in a plastic gun, you're not going to see too much recoil in this thing.

I'd be all over a select-fire version if the 86 ban ever goes away.

This gun is designed for FA and nothing else. The Thompson had a lot of muzzle climb. This gun was designed to significantly minimize the muzzle climb in FA of the 45ACP cartridge. Should the 86 ban ever go away, I'd pick up one of these in a heartbeat.
