I'm looking to join LSA (Leominster Sportsmans Assoc). I live like 2 1/2 miles away so I figured this place is the most economic around. My problem is, I sent a check a month ago, it hasnt been cashed. I call and never get an answer, when I leave messages, i never get a reply. I've gone thier personally to try to speak with someone about a membership, and no one is ever there. Anyone know how to go about doing this ??? I pretty much just want to know where my check is, at this point. But also, a membership would be cool too. I just wanna shoot !!!!!!!!!

Drop by during one of the monthly meetings, or any other night the Gun shop is open. Walk over to the gunshop and ask for a guy named Vic... he's a bit groggy sometimes, but he's in charge of membership.

Check out the site for meeting dates: http://www.lsa-ma.org/

Come down on Sunday Mornings - that's when most everyone's there & most of the activities are happening:
- Rifle match - Gunshop - Trap& skeet- Mountainmen - indoor Pistol etc

also Monday nights the gunshop is usually open & a pistol match is going on.
the 4th Wed is the general club meeting
skeet is Tuesday morning & night & Friday nights. Archers are there most weekday mornings

I was also looking to join LSA. Is it best to sign up when everyone is there during a club activity?

Also is the shooting range still only open to general members twice a week?

I went during 'store hours' and just handed my application and check to Vic. I got my member card a couple days later.

  • Sunday mornings from 9:00 A.M. to NOON
  • Monday nights from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Do you know how crowded it get during those times? Seems like a very narrow window of time.

Do you know of any other clubs in the area that have more general shooting range time availability?

Members can shoot anytime during normal range hours. When you join you buy a key to the gate. Those two days mentioned aren't the only time you can shoot, that's just when the clubhouse is running business.

Ah, understood.

How much is the key and what normal range hours?

I think I'll head down there next week with my application.
