LMT .308 uppers - anybody know when?

I have been reading stories here and there for months now about how LMT is coming out with one of their Monolithic rail uppers - in .308. But as of yet - they don't appear to be on the market. They don't show up anywhere on their website.

But I did find this story (from a recent mag issue):

Does anybody know when/if these are going to be available? Thinking of getting one of the G3 mag/7.62 lowers from the Fidelis group buy and mating it up with one of the LMT uppers.....

From what I have been hearing, early 2010 and it is to be a piston design.

it's an "AR-10" version.

Don't know how legitimate that is though. I know LMT had a survey on their site a while back on what type of upper/lower combo to make - I seem to remember it being an AR-10 version, but the info is gone from the site.

Well, the Fidelis lowers are LR-308 types so that idea's out.

POF has a piston .308 that I have been eyeing for a bit, but they just cost too damn much for now. Any idea if others are looking at making a piston AR .308? My dream setup is a POF style upper and a CMMG G3 compatible lower.. but I am not holding my breath on that one.

Well, the rifle is on sale... I can't get a price on an upper alone, but I'm thinking I might just buy the whole rifle and be happy.

Anyone already got their hands on one?
