I've got a Yugo SKS on the way. I searched all around here and surplusrifles.com and could not find info on the correct way to log the gun into the C&R log book, and filling out the FA-10.

I'm assuming like this:

Manufacturer/ Importer: Yugo/(insert importer here)

Model: SKS M59/66

Is that correct? I'd have PM'd M4M, but I've been bothering him enough lately with my Mosin problem!

Thanks

If you have a Bound Book (commercial or copy from one of the various creations posted on the Internet), you just fill in the blanks. You need "source" info in your BB for each gun coming in.

FA-10 fill out as "registration", no info on source.

I use the Brownells's bound book. I've already got a handful of guns logged into it. I just wasn't sure how to log in a Yugo SKS.

I know I don't have to fill out where I got the gun from on the FA-10 form, but I want to make sure I fill it out correctly as to the make and model.

Right, but what would you put as the "manufacturer" (on the C&R book),
or the "make" (on the FA-10)? Would you put "Yugoslavia" or "SKS"?
This is where I'm confused.

Yugoslavian, or you can put the importer name

SKS is a type of rifle, not a specific model, and certainly not a manufacturer.
