Kind of a mouthful there when you read the name but one hell of a gun. I'd been debating a Ar piston gun for a while and finally pulled the trigger (ha) about 8 months or so ago getting an M6 from Dennis at First Defense. Someone (he I assume) had Massified it by pinning the comp and stock. Cool but the stock was pinned a tad short for my monkey arms so I backed the pin out and re-drilled the hole a click further out (and did taking a drill to such a beauty cause me angst Oye!). Pin in and legal again the rifle sets up perfectly nose-to-charging handle like I like.
She ain't light. She's a brick house but I like em with a little bit of meat anyway. Guns I mean, freakin pervs.
Between the extra weight from the piston and barrel plus the comp there is like NO muzzle rise even shooting South African hot 5.56. Accuracy is more than sufficient for me. I get 1MOA groups at 100 prone with off the shelf M855 when I'm paying attention. M193 doesn't group as well -the 1:7 twist likes heavier loads - but more than enough to hit a plate at 250 yds which is the longest range my club has. .223 actually groups a little better than the 193 and has a POI at almost the same point as the 855 which I found interesting in an "hmm, cool" kind of way.
The receiver stays cool no matter how many rounds you put through. The barrel starts to heat up and you do get transfer to the low profile rail but it never gets anywhere near as hot as am impingement gun does. Cleaning is a breeze - nothing behind the chamber gets dirty.
The stock trigger is nice. Nothing to write home about, it's a combat trigger and is as heavy as you would expect. The break is clean and while it was a little gritty at first it wore in very quickly. Put a target trigger in it and you will have a VERY accurate gun.
It's pricey for an AR but you gets what you pay for is my firm belief. No regrets at all and a "2 thumbs up".
