Hi guys i was hoping someone here may be able to help me. Got a trigger job done months ago and my pistol has been great and shoots flawless. I took a apart for a cleaning as ive done several times before except this time when i put it back together the trigger did not feel right. When i did my function test the trigger clicks before the point of engaging the firing pin. In other words i pull the trigger then it clicks, then after a bit more pressure it goes off like it normally wood. Now when i pull the slide back and pull the trigger it does not click. I have taken it apart to make sure nothing looked out of place but everything looks fine. Any one have any ideas?

I would suggest taking the pistol back to Dave and letting him see. If the issue is related to his work, I am sure he would fix it. And if it isn't, I bet he could fix it too.

Make sure the trigger bow (where it engages under the sear) did not get bent. It sounds like there is not enough travel on the trigger to release the sear from the striker. The trigger might be hitting the over travel stop, then you need to flex the trigger to get the sear to break. This can happen when the nose of the sear is cut to much, but the overall height is not reduced. Does the trigger have very short over travel and reset?

Is the nose of the trigger bow under the sear correctly? Do it have enough tension towards the center of the gun to reset correct?

The trigger does not have a short travel. Ive had two other m&p's and the trigger was about the same on all of them. My biggest issue is the trigger was fine before i cleaned it. As far as the trigger bow, nothing looks out of the ordinary. I guess ill just have to leave it with Dave and see what happens. These things always seem to happen when your short on cash.
