Hello to all the Black Powder folks in the area!
We've made it through the winter ... hooray!
This is the first communication concerning Mansfield Black Powder Shoots for this summer. It will be happening ONE MONTH from yesterday!
Please do consider coming, and why not bring a friend! Join us on Sunday for the first shoot of the summer ... on the 4th of May 2008. Pass the word!

Sunday - Registration begins at 12 Noon with coffee, tea, sodas & cup cakes.
Lots of targets: STEELS, CLAYS, AND NOVELTY TARGETS.
$10 total for the whole shootin' match ... 12 Noon sign up.
We will be set up across the 50 yard range and under cover. Come rain, sleet or snow, the shoot will be on. Plan on shooting 20 to 25 rounds to shoot the whole match.
Steel, Clays, Targets and Novelty target events (balloons, plates, cups, wooden nickels, cards, 2x4's, briquets & baseballs). Hatchet throw and rock toss!
For the most part there will be individual competition, and there will also be a few team events.
Points for frontier garb and hats!
Points for a good joke!
Any muzzle loader, any powder, any ball or conical and/or sabot (but please no scopes!)
Target distances will vary from 10 to 50 yards.
New targets, new shooting positions, new stories, new hot advice, new jokes, old outfits, lots of smoke and beautiful old guns! Maybe some new ones, too!
Eye and ear protection required for all participants and spectators. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Directions ...
Club location: Behind the Mansfield Highway Dept on Rte 106.
Take I-95 to exit 7A (sign reads: "Route 140 Mansfield").
From 140, turn left (East) onto Rte 106.
Travel 2.1 miles, under railroad bridge, past three lights and one flasher.
Turn left into Mansfield Highway Dept lot.
The Mansfield Fish & Game Club road is at the right rear of MHD's parking lot.
