Took the Marlin Camp 9 to the Range last week. Tried out the 10 round Marlin magazine, the 20 Round Marlin Magazine, the 15 Round S&W Model 59 magazine and the 30 Round S&W Model 59 Magazine. Ran Winchester White Box, Remington and lead reloads thru it. All pre-ban on a pre-ban gun. All functioned without a hickup. Replaced the factory buffer with one from Blackjack. And put in a 16.5LB Woff Spring.

Trigger pull was brutal at 8 1/2 lbs. Sights need replacing. the front sight is a plastic orange sight. Not Good. But from 50 yards it got better after adjusting the rear sight and drifting over the front sight.

These targets were at 50 yards with the old trigger.

I got the gun back from the smith today with a 3 1/4 trigger pull now. Have a FO front sight on order and will change out the rear sight once I decide what I want back there.
I'm thinking this could be a great gun for IDPA Multi Gun next year.

I've been looking for one of these for a couple months now. The picture with the targets, that is at 50 yards with the 3 1/4# trigger pull?

50 yards with 8 1/2 lb pull. I'll be back at the range with it with the improved trigger and new sight.

I'm staying with Iron sights right now to see how it fits in IDPA Multi gun for Stock Service Pistol Caliber Carbine (SPCC) class. Which does not allow optics.

If you wanted optics its easy to do, The rails and mounts from a Marlin Lever Gun fit.
