so.. there were 21 comments, but then the State pussies removed them. they were getting roasted for the stupid regs that they have, like no Sunday hunting, and shed hunting being illegal.

so I guess since they won't take IG comments, you'll have to comment via other means.

Shed hunting is illegal? So the state owns the shed? Ya good luck enforcing that one.

Everyone shed hunts.

In some states there is a shed hunting season and licensing is required. Probably going to turn it into another money grab for the state. I be they will start with requiring a stamp.

yeah.. I read that on a Huntstand email/article.

I guess walking in the woods looking for discards too close to the rut and deep winter season can put more stress on deer.. who knew.

I believe they are clarifying that shed hunting is legal, as there was no regulation either way. a**h***s have probably complained to the state over the years that people were "illegally" taking sheds from state land, etc.

Some states have shed hunting seasons, don't they?

In some states shed hunting is actually a business. In Mass the pickings are pretty slim. There really aren't that many people that do it.

I am a fan of not pushing the animals though in the winter when they are already worn down. But let's be honest for a second. It's not the shed hunters in Mass that would be the problem. It's the dog walkers. Regulate them if you really give a shit about the well being of deer.

I think that deer in places like Mass just get pushed around because the areas in which they bed and rest are pretty small. There really is not much in the way of actual sanctuary areas for them there.

If there is no law against it is legal.

We already have too many bullshi!t laws. Enough already.

The youth permit should be a no brainer.
The youth turkey tags are good for the whole season.
My kids youth deer tag says it’s valid until 12/31 but F&W says no… only good on the one day.

Makes perfect sense.

The rich white liberals on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket will flip when they hear about an extended season. I’ve seen Karen’s on the local town FB shitting their pants when they find out people are allowed to hunt in MA.
Not really gonna change anything......there is shotgun season there now.

Having and extended Muzz season is not a bad idea over there as its cold as hell on the mainland. Still.....likely to get not much participation from mainlanders as the cost of getting over there and staying is prohibitive to shoot a bunch of small over populated deer. Locals might enjoy it and MA will want to charge for special January tags for it.

Considering they have to hunt with pumps and single shots now.........they should give them the whole year. [rofl]

This is how theyll compensate for nerfing out of state hunters and youths with gun regulation
