I recently bought a Nc Star 8x32 scope to work/learn to do some extended range shooting. I've read some neg reviews, but hell, what product does not have some?

First scope arrived and due to weather/life, was not able to shoot it for a while. Finally get to range and scope will not center at 50 yards. Remount with different rings, same thing, at max adjustment, still shot almost off paper (standard LE silhouette). Called the company (it was too late to return to dealer 3 months down), they sent me the warranty info and I returned the scope.

Less than 2 weeks later, I have another scope in my hands. I mount it with low profile weaver rings this time (see gun desc below). Scope initially starts to center after some huge adjustments (50 yards again). I run out of ammo point of impact (POI) is still off to left, little high. The next day (today), I return to range to dial it in and move to 100 yards for a standard zero. Point of impact is 5 inches high and off to the right this time. I start adjusting back to left. Scope hits adjustment limit, still POI is right of PO aim.

I throw scope into woods.

Rifle:
M1A Scout, Vltor modstock
4th Gen scope mount
low profile weaver rings.
I was putting rounds through same hole with some vertical movement between strings (which I really can't determine was me or the POS scope) I have other targets with solid groups at 300 yards same gun, different scope. Bitteroot Valley Match .308

Phone charging, will post pics in a bit.

Edit: This lead to discussion with wife about new scope. Probably going to go with Leopuld or similar $500 range scope next time. I know, you get what you pay for. But a deal is only a deal if the product reasonably functions.

Cheap glass is shit glass, 99% of the time. NCStar, and pretty much anything the "Chinese optics guy" sells... its all junk, trash, shit. If you can't afford anything decent you're better off buying something like a used redfield, etc. Some of the old glass out there is decent and isn't too expensive. Old good glass is better than new chinese shit.

A good set of iron sets is far better than a bad scope. Having said that, was the problem limited to just the POI/POA issue and not having enough adjustment range? If so, check to make certain the mount is centered to the bore and shim as needed.

Truth. I've got a Swarovski 6x scope from the 70s on my M14. The thing is a tank and the glass is crystal (heh) clear. $150 in the NES classifieds.

To remedy the situation:

1) Go into woods and find said NcStar scope
2) Throw NcStar scope onto range backstop
3) Use iron sights and get your moneys worth shooting at the damn thing!

I'd add ANYTHING from BSA to the do not buy, ever pile.

OK apparently I'm in a grouchy mood and I must need a vacation to Florida or something like that because I read the first post and I'm ready to punch the screen.
The scope may be a piece of crap but running out of adjustment is the fault of the installer not the scope. Keeping that in mind I'm going to assume that the poi is changing because the scope isn't mounted properly.

Scope is mounted solid. I do the install, put it away, check it again some time later, shoot it some, check for anything loose. I'm not uber experienced, but I've installed optics in the past with no problems. After 40 rnds, the adjustments did nothing with regard to POI vs POA. Grouping stayed in same spot after adjustment.

The main reason for the post was everything I read negative was on some generic interweb feedback site. I've posted shot groupings, some know my experience more than others. Give it another month, then try Florida, no hurricanes, pleasant temps.
