I've never understood why people feel the need to quote the first post. I mean, in the Rules, Derek says that anything more than the word "In" would disqualify your entry.

Including a quote of the first post makes that entry invalid according to a strict reading of the rules.

People are just lucky Derek's a softie. If I were running the contests, I would be a hardass about this and dq all the quote-rons.

Does it really matter? The whole thing is a scam anyways. Hasn’t been a winner chosen for February and there wasn’t even a giveaway in March. Here we are in April now.

Wow! Just wow. You have been here for less than 6 months and now you are going to say that it's a scam. What a way to ingratiate yourself to our not so little (anymore) band of firearm owners.

Yes, it does from the standpoint of it being a curious behavioral quirk.

Second, scam? Many a firearm has been given away by @Admin and his LGS partners over the years. Do a little research before you make a claim.

I understand that but where’s Mr. Admin been the last two months? Definitely tooling around on the site but not updating his giveaway. I could give a shit about winning a gun I’ve got plenty but the thing that pisses me off is lack of communication and people not going through on their word.

You're too invested in something that has zero impact on your life. Only @Admin can hold himself accountable for his actions. Not us.

If the winner doesn't want to be identified then what update would you expect in the thread?

I've never won but don't question that the giveaway is real - too many people I've met have won at one time or another.

This thread is a February giveaway and there hasn’t been one for March or April. I understand that if the winner doesn’t want to be identified they don’t have to be but does that mean that the giveaways stop for the year if the winner doesn’t want to be outed?

How do you enter?

Simple, if you're a GREEN member you can simply post in this thread "In" and I will add you to the drawing.
If you are not a GREEN member become one and post "In" in this thread.
All checks for membership must be received by February 29th. If you still want in after that date you must use PayPal.

***Posting more than the word "In" or posting more than once will get you disqualified. ***

In order to enter you must be legally able to own a handgun in the state your residence as of NOW. All applicable laws apply.

If the winner cannot take delivery of the rifle/pistol I will draw another member.


I will draw the lucky winner on February 29th... Enjoy. [wink]
