Never been a revolver guy.... Ive owned a few but they have all been sold as they just weren't the right combination of size/barrel length/capacity. After taking the usual stroll around the gun shop I ended by the revolver case ( which never happens ) As I peered through the case it was love at first sight, exactly what Ive always wanted in a wheel gun! Best yet the price tag! I feel a little guilty for the price I paid ( ok, not really![smile] ) Finish is nice, doesnt appear to have ever spent much time in a holster. Lockup is tight. Shows no sights of forcing cone wear. Cant wait to get to the range!

S&W 65-5 3" .357magnum Best $300 Ive ever spent on a firearm!

I recently got a thing for revolvers. That looks nice. I need one. Eventually. How much if you don't mind?

Beware. Revolver seems to multiply very quickly. Next thing, you will need a hand cannon.

For 3 benjamins, it's no brainer. I'll take it home too. [wink]

Great gun. Looks like a beauty. If you want to dress it up with some decent wood grips at a rock bottom price, check out the Hogue Auction site. http://www.hogueauction.com/ I got some nice ones for my 617 there. If you don't see anything just check back occasionally.

Well ya. The whole deal actually cost me $200 but I still think it was worth it. [smile]

Python, Anaconda, Commando, and an Officer's Target in .32 Colt

Oh and **DRB** I have a 4" Model 65-2. It was my first revolver. Sweet gun.

Um, when you say some years ago, do you mean 20 or more. That's the only way $200 makes sense. [wink][smile]

To the OP, that's a great find for $300!! Watch out, the revolver bug can bite quick. So can the semi auto bug, long rifle bug, C&R bug, black powder bug, evil black rifle bug and so on. Damn bugs......

Congratulations on a great purchase! Wheel guns are fun, especially a nice .357 like that. Enjoy! [smile]

already have a holster and speedloaders on the way, she's gonna be a shooter! that reminds me I need to get some .357 dies and brass as well.

Im really excited about having .357 as I already reload 9mm. Ive found a bunch of load data to use the same powders and primers to keeping a good stock will be easy.

I think a lever gun .357 would be a hell of an addition!

Awesome!!! I wasn't really a revolver guy either. But I picked up a Ruger LCR about a month ago and this thing is really growing on me. I find myself carrying it more and more!
