As we are sure many are aware, there is a new online portal to apply for an LTC or FID in the Commonwealth.
We are encouraging individuals located in cities and towns known for lengthy delays to apply or renew their LTC or FID through the newly established online application portal.
Per Statue, the licensing authority shall, within 7 days of the receipt of a completed application, forward fingerprints of the applicant to the Colonel of the State Police for background check purposes and shall approve or deny the license within 40 days.
We are hopeful (although not entirely optimistic) licensing authorities will comply with their statutory obligations.
If you apply via this portal and receive any feedback from the licensing authority that is contrary to what is allowed by statute, please contact us.
We expect this to be a marathon, not a sprint, however, if the Commonwealth requires lawful firearms owners, and those who wish to be lawful firearms owners to follow the law, the least we can expect is that the licensing authorities for the Commonwealth will also follow the law.
We will be standing by to hold them accountable, as we have been in our case against Boston White v Cox
