I have been. Still nothing. When I try to go back and make a new account it says account already exists with this user name. I suppose I can change my username but then may tell me that the LTC number has already been used…..

I had the same problem at first, then gave it several business days and tried it again, and was able to get into my activated account.

I never got the confirmation email or the temporary password so if I try to login, I don’t even know what I would put in for a password.

Make sure that the email address that you put in was correct when you made the account. Maybe you were 1 letter or digit off?

Also, keep in mind that all account access input Information is case sensitive.

They just sent me an email and they said they resent the activation but the beginning of my email address is a capital S…. on my account on yahoo it’s a small s …..so that might be the issue. I just asked them to resend it with a lowercase, S see what happens.

email addresses aren't case sensitive, but if used as an account login name, it may be.

I originally used a yahoo email. Never got any activation emails.

Ultimately I asked them to delete my account and used Gmail. All good with gmail

I posted my issues early in this thread.

I think for some reason yahoo emails are just not working.

Yep, same here. He said he deleted my account and I’m gonna redo it with my Gmail account. Hopefully that works.

I submitted my application for a Non Res license last month with the portal. Interview is end of April. Application process was pretty straight forward thus far.

I got a notice to file from DCJIS in November,for a March renewal.
Submitted it this morning.
Don’t forget to upload the lost firearm affidavit.
Haven’t paid yet though so doubt anything will get rolling till then.

This is how it starts. Slow/unmaintained systems adds hassle and obstacles to exercising a right.

For completeness (for the next person that finds this part of the thread) that exemption is on renewal. That is, despite having aged to perfection, the state will always draw blood on the first application.

Any person over the age of 70 and any law enforcement officer applying through their employing agency for renewal of a license to carry firearms or a firearm identification card shall be exempt from the requirement of paying a renewal fee.

Where do I find this??

I’m up for renewal in April.

As you click through the pages they will show you a form. I printed it out while on that page (couldnt fill it out on line).
Then you have to upload it as a PDF. Can’t just upload a picture. For me that’s a other can of worms.

After saving my progress,I I went back into the app to print out another copy of the affidavit it and it was not an available option for me.
I searched on line and found one offered for printing from the Duxbury PD on their website.

Payment should be happening at the PD, at least in most towns.

Every town is different. Some departments may still want an in-person on renewal. Best bet is to call your PD to ask if there's anything they need from you at this point.

My daughter just paid on line in Barnstable. She had forgotten her affidavit. They called to let her know and also told her she could pay on line.
I’ll have to ask through what venue. I haven’t seen that option yet.

That's awesome. Hopefully*, that'll spread to more towns soon.

It appears I have a lot of lost/stolen licenses but one of the records is a duplicate of the same one. Regardless, they all turned up the only one that was ever truly lost. I lost in the snow, turned up in some kids locker at school at school.. wallet must’ve fallen off my lap and then landed in the snow and I didn’t even notice it..
All the other ones were inside my house.

Does it look very responsible, but it was more like I was just impatient I needed the license to buy something or some other nonsense

I was just pissed. I waited on hold to get my pin number and the lady told me you can only do it online. That sucks for a lot of people who don’t have the ability to do that.

I have to figure out the transfer portal. I’m gonna be selling some guns.
