i can't wait to use it!! i suffered all last season on the boat with a crappy rod.

i ended up getting a tica dolphin tc3 surf series rod and a shimano stradic 8000 reel -- now i just have to drop the rod off to have my name put on it [laugh]

i am so excited!! [smile]

You can put your name on it yourself. Mudhole tackle sells rod decals, then all you have to do is buy one of there clear epoxys. Might save you some money. You can also use a white out pen and then epoxy over it. IF you want to do it that way PM and I will give you clear instructions.

Sounds like a nice rod. I need to make some sort of purchase, with all the new bows and rods being posted.

Nothing like the first hit on a new rod.

Tsunami is another good choice for low cost rods. I stick to Penn and daiwa for surf reels. shimano reels are good for boats because you not going to run the chance of getting your reel dunked or full of sand.
