No Refunds for Hunters

Nh is better anyway. Better access to private land......Sunday hunting.....muzzle loader during rut and beginning of fire arms season. It's a win win and easier to fill my freezer.
Agree. Though I could have easily filled the freezer in MA this year and I didn't even bowhunt much. I didnt bother because my friend has venison available anytime for me this year.

I thought the 2A was about hunting ducks and deer?

What is the 2A about, then?

No kids under 18 can hunt with guns.....
and
No Semi Autos for out of staters right? or something......

I didn't read the rules and i'm not going to because I dont' care anymore even if I do end up hunting up there.

just bought my NH non resident, and it also says the department has no provision for refunds, MA really sucks, with the bait and switch they pulled, but they are not alone...
In the MA case, it may be the case that "No refunds" has the same legal standing as a "Not responsible for damage caused by objects from truck" sign.

Pretty sure the DFW said they expect to lose something like $9M over this.
I said that on this site when the Emergency Preamble was signed and many here did not believe me. Well here it comes. The other loss of money will be the funds from the Pittman-Robertson Program and Wallop-Breau this is money that pays for the hunter safety, and trapper Ed programs. The boat ramps and other programs. All those funds come back to the state based on license sales.

I really don't care if the Div of Fakers and Wankers goes broke. They NEVER had the best interest of those that paid the bills. They made undefined and unenforceable regulations and then came up with some Bull Shit excuse. They did the same with endorsing legislation that took away F & W property from the Hunters (Flint Pond in Tyngsborough) Their time has come to an end.
Oh, by the way they will still be required to pay 15% of the Environmental Police budget.

Under the new laws, law enforcement is being directed that any non-resident under 18 is banned from hunting in the Commonwealth.
I do not think this is accurate. Out of state folks under 18 are potentially prohibited from hunting with firearms in the Commonwealth. I am about 99% sure there is no such restriction on bow hunting.

The state doesnt care, theyll pass the cost onto those of us who bowhunt or fish. Only reason I continue to do that is that there are unlimited anterless permits in my zone reliably
Do not expect any favorable ruling in a MA court. The SJC has already declaredthat "State needs the money" is a valid justification, for example:

- $25 for a magistrates hearing for a traffic violation, another $50 to confront your accuser in court. MA SJC ruled in favor of the state keeping the money even if the driver is found not responsible for any violation. The federal court overruled that decision.

- Public defender. If someone of legal age lives with their parents, they are not entitled to a public defender until the parents assets, including retirement funds, are depleted since the parents implicitly agreed to provide for the spawn's legal defense fees by allowing their adult child to live in their home. So sayuth the SJC.

This is an easy fix for me.

Do not buy hunting or fishing licenses anymore.
When I lived in Mass I had a commercial lobster fishing permit with several other gear and species endorsements costing at total of $350. One year they decided that everyone should pay them $10 for a recreational salt water fishing license. I continued to use my fishing pole on occasion to have some fun and get a fish to eat. I never bought their stupid license for doing what we all had a right to do for free for nearly 400 years. They already had my $350, which was quite enough. This country was founded by people who said enough is enough with regard to taxes and fees.
