OCT 13th 2024 NES Bullet Casting Seminar!!!

Bump! It’s getting close. Let’s get some more sign ups for this! Now is the perfect time to start making your own bullets!

300 blackout? Match made in heaven!

I’ve run thousands of these through my AR with zero cleaning. The hi-Tek coating is like shooting a jacketed bullet.

How about the big bore guys? Most of these cartridges were literally designed to be used with lead!
I can push a 45-70 as fast as the load book says I should and zero leading!

For around 15 cents a pop I can shoot 45-70 until I’m cripple too!

Nice! I’m specifically interested in 30-30, and maybe something crazy like 30-06, just for grins. lol
30–30 is perfect for cast . 30–06 you can do a ton with.

Usually with rifle loads, you try to go for the heaviest weight bullet possible.

You can get around 1800 ft./s with cast Bullets in a rifle without too much voodoo. So you might as well run the heaviest bullet possible.
Why run 150 grains when you can run 220 grains?

Make one for any diameter you have a mold for.

Make stackables for your favorite cartridge. How about 4 of the little ones in a 45-70?!!
Duke would have given rep for that trick. Well done.

I someone wants my smelting setup it is available for pick up.
-Turkey Fryer Burner (it held me when I was standing on it, and a full load of lead multiple times.)
-Converted Propane tank with lid to drop wet WW through the valve hole.
-Trash Skimmer to clean out the clips etc.
-Huge Ladle (used to pour lead joints on big cast iron soil pipe) that fills a couple muffin molds in one scoop

-I have no use for this stuff as I have a couple lifetimes of alloy already.
-PM for pick up address and it is yours.

Awesome Karma!

God rest Duke’s soul! He was a damn good man and got a lot of people to carry on the craft. I miss him!

A little bump.

Cast and Hi‐Tek coated almost 400 Lee 452-228 1R "baked beans" today for 45acp. 3 coats and water quenched after last coat to help with hardness. Lead was free from a range clean out. This seminar taught me the basics. I highly recommend attending and the start-up costs are low. Just a chance to mingle with some NES folks is worth your time.

For the likes worried about cost here’s a rough breakdown

2 cavity Lee mold $37
Lee melting pot $95
Lee sizing die $21
Lee Alox $11

You can save a bunch if you want to ladle pour and not buy the Lee melting pot.
Lee ladle $11
Thrift store stainless pan $? Couple of bucks.
Amazon electric hot plate $11

So if you wanna start slow, under $100 and you’re in the game.
