5. Open Carry is fine and appropriate and the right MUST be exercised at times in order to preserve it for future generations.
It depends.Open Carry is fine and appropriate and the right MUST be exercised at times in order to preserve it for future generations.
It depends.
The Black Panther's exercise of open carry of long guns at various pu]blic meetings in CA is the 60s resulted in the termination of that right, not it's preservation.
I sent an email to the Manchester PD as I want to hear what the chief has to say about this. Here is the contact information. I suggest a polite letter to him to remind him that the rights of NH residents should be respected:

Please! We need every vote we can get.Don't worry, my plan is to be up there before the next elections!
MA? Who cares about MA? This is NH not MA. If the MA people don't like it let them stay in their own state. Got that?
You have been assimilated by that state and I strongly suggest that you take off your emotional chains and start thinking like a NH resident not a slave of MA.
I'm not sure if this was aimed at my comment above, but I want Adam up here before the next election because we need every vote we can get to keep from going blue again this election cycle. That's what I was talking about. Some of you guys are acting like b/c some people do not open carry b/c they feel it is a tactical disadvantage or personally unsafe that we are somehow going to vote to ban open carry or something? Not one person said it should be ban b/c of any liberal Ma**h*** reasons. Just b/c we would not walk down a city street with our stuff hanging out does not mean we are against the right to do so.
To think that somebody would vote different b/c they open carry their weapon as oppose to conceal carry it is wrong. It is all the 2A and I am confident in saying all of us on NES support it.

This is a culture war. Either we get assimilated by them or they get assimilated by us. Standing up and exercising our constitutional and legal rights is not a bad thing to do and I'm disappointed that some here are ashamed of it.
And since when is Portsmouth some kind of holy grail of open carry? Why are you fixated on it?
I'm not missing the point at all but you are. You have already begun marking out "no go" areas for open carry while I say that our rights apply to all areas.
You have been assimilated by MA and they are still controlling you.
But you went along with someone in the earlier part of the thread that attacked Dave for exercising his constitutional and lawful right to open carry in Manchester. I held your feet to the fire and the feet of other people here as well.

Is that what smells around here?
Your experience in the marines is admirable but not relevant. One does not have to serve in the military to have constitutional rights. So please stick to the original topic. Thanks.
It's is relevant when you question my respect for the constitution.
You two guys should stop with the woofing and sniffing and just get a room!
