I'm going to have LaRocca Gun Works do a trigger job on my M&P. While looking at his M&P page I noticed the burnishing service he does on the slide (remove the blue-ing and give the metal parts a brushed stainless look).

I'm on the fence about doing it and, being the disgusting herd animal that I am, would like to hear some opinions on pimping my gun in such a way.

Larocca does good work. That said I wouldn't do that to the slide. The finish S&W uses on the slide is incredibly hard and durable.

The finish on the M&P slides from what I have heard and seen is a good finish. The cosmetic value is up to you.

I would never remove the finish no matter how nice you think it may look. It is there for a reason
